Accessing wordpress.com sites in 2017 is impossible

I cannot access my own word press blog (where I have published over 400 posts) or anyone else’s without many messages that say ‘This site can’t be accessed. Word Press has unexpectedly closed the connection.’ This happens in google chrome and in Firefox. So.frustrating.I.am.losing.HOURS.every.day. Help, please!

Did that.
Now my site has an “i” inside a circle at the beginning of the address (google chrome).
When I went to a different wordpress.com blog, I had to click 4 different times and wait a total of 3 min. and 32 seconds before the blog finally loaded.This has not changed the problem with my own wordpress site.

I am on a PC running windows 10 and FF51 and I connected to that site instantly.
Are you using a desktop computer and running an up to date browser version?
Are you using an app?
Do you have a dodgy internet connection?

I cleared my browser cache.I also tried Firefox.

I can’t just download a new version.

It’s a site that has information about the latest versions of the most popular browsers.
I recommend you updating your browser. -

Like timethief I am able to access the site without trouble. This leads me to believe that there’s an issue with your local environment. Your internet browser, the connection, or a browser extension that could be running interference.
Can you tell me which version of Chrome you are on? And do you have the same problem if you try from a different internet connection? At a neighbors house, work, school, cafe, etc…
