Accidental domain mapping..

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi there, I mapped a domain name I bought from Godaddy: http://www.summer17.xyz

I ‘mapped’ the domain in wordpress not really knowing what it’d do.. Now I can’t stop it from redirecting to my blog ^

How can I get rid of it?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

I would be happy to assist you in cancelling and refunding your purchase. However, the upgrade that was purchased is not associated with the account you contacted us from. To confirm ownership, post in this thread under the username/account that purchased the upgrade. Then, I can look into refunding the subscription purchase.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

    I don’t know what you’re referring to ^

I purchased the domain name ‘www.summer17.xyz’ from Godaddy. I put said domain name in the box which said ‘Map Domain’. It mapped that domain name to my wordpress website. I want to undo that mapping..

  • Okay, so it sounds like you haven’t actually mapped the domain to WordPress.com yet. You pointed the nameservers over from Go Daddy to WordPress.com. So, all you need to do is log back into Go Daddy and point the nameservers back to them. There’s nothing you need to do on the WordPress.com end.

Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
