accidental log in to unknown site

Hi,
So my buddy has something strange going on.
He was searching through the internet and came across a completely random site (https://rustenishetnieuwesporten.be/) and without him actually logging in, he was suddenly logged in and could change everything on this site. He is logged in with his name and all, but it is the first time he visits this site, he never registrated.
How is this possible? I can image a site can be hacked when the software is not up to date. But accidentally logging in on a random site? -

The website you have listed is a self-hosted WordPress website which is hosted on DigitalOcean.
