Accidental Permanently Disabled Site Address
-
Hi There,
I am trying to get my blog started and attempted to change my site address but it appears I disabled it. :/I think I did this by selecting the below box by accident on the ‘WordPress.com Blog/Site Address Change.’
Yes, please permanently disable eleanornotroosevelt.wordpress.com
If you check this box you will not be able to use simplytidy.wordpress.com again.
If you think you will reuse this name keep this option unchecked.I was looking to change my blog name from simplytidy.wordpress.com to eleanornotroosevelt.wordpress.com. However, I think I permanently disabled eleanornotroosevelt.wordpress.com. I would like to not permanently disable either of site address.
Does anyone know how to reverse this? Or possible create a new blog page with eleanornotroosevelt.wordpress.com?
Please help!

Hi,
Unfortunately it is not possible. That’s why several warnings are given in order to accomplish deletion.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/However, you can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Or even better, you can register a new domain: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/register-domain/
or use a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/Happy blogging!

Thanks for your reply @heliodore!
I do have one additional question the blog had no content on it, does that still mean it’s unretrievable?
Also, does this mean that disabling is the same as deleting?
Thanks!
