Accidentally added the same blog twice.

  My blog — MariaCfromVAL — is under (email visible only to moderators and staff). I was trying to add a blog to it for publishing work by my recently deceased friend Linnea Johnson’s writings. I purchased a domain name for it when I added that blog. But the first time the purchase did not seem to work — everything was hung up for a long time — so I tried it again. LinneaJohnson’sCollectedWorks was created twice, once with and once without the paid-for url “linneajohnsonauthordotcom.”

  I wanted to just delete the one that used only the “linneajohnsonauthor.wordpress.com” address, but the warnings about deleting blogs made me think that deleting any version of “linneajohnsonauthor” would permanently make the good one unusable. So I tried to change the blog names and addresses, but I’ve ended up with multiple versions of “linneaJohnson” and “maria mullinaux.” I’ve tried to transfer the one with the paid for url to my other blog account (mariamullinauxwriter/ (email visible only to moderators and staff)) but that isn’t seeming to work, either.

  Can you help me straighten out the mess? The list below shows the blog names and addresses and what I want to have happen to each.

  3. Linnea Johnson’s Collected Works / linneajohnsonauthordotcom.wordpress / TRANSFER to (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  4. Maria Mullinaux / mariamullinaux.wordpress.com / TRANSFER to (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  *5. Maria Mullinaux / notwantedblog.wordpress.com /Don’t make blog name Maria Mullinaux not usable and don’t end up with any Maria Mullinaux blog names on this (email visible only to moderators and staff) account, but delete this or, if can’t delete, move to other blogsite (below). — NOTE: I’ve changed this name under “Settings/ General” it doesn’t show up changed on the “my blogs” list in the Dashboard.

  *6.Maria Mullinaux / marianotused.wordpress.com / Don’t make blog name Maria Mullinaux not usable and don’t end up with any Maria Mullinaux blog names on this (email visible only to moderators and staff) account, but delete this or, if can’t delete, move to other blogsite (below). — NOTE: I’ve changed this name under “Settings/ General” it doesn’t show up changed on the “my blogs” list in the Dashboard.

  I’ve just checked all your points are they have been completed.

  Your domain linneajohnsonauthor.com is connected to linneajohnsonauthordotcom.wordpress.com . You also have a linneajohnsonauthor.wordpress.com blog. If you want I can move the linneajohnsonauthor.com to linneajohnsonauthor.wordpress.com instead.

  NOTE: I’ve changed this name under “Settings/ General” it doesn’t show up changed on the “my blogs” list in the Dashboard.

  What should the correct site/blog titles be? Note that it might take a little while before the “my blogs” list updates the site title. If the title is set at Settings -> General you are good to go.
