Accidentally assigned new homepage and now I’m stuck

    Hi everyone,
I accidentally assigned my “About” page as the normal home page. And now I can’t change it back
For some reason, the entire “Home” is gone. I can’t find it anywhere and it’s also not possible to recover it from the bin or anything else, because it’s not deleted.

I need to go over to another template because of this, but because I have Business subscription now, instead of Premium, I have limits. I want to use “The Coffee Shop” theme, this front page looks really good. But now I can’t have that, because my page is assigned to the “About” page and again: the Home page is not in the list of pages.

How can I add the template home page to my list? It’s better to just start from scratch at this point. It’s taking too much time already

    Any help would be appreciated

I think it’s at this point best for me to reset my site. There was just enough to get it starting, but in general I can start from scratch and have just as much time spent.

    Hi,

Here’s your home page: https://squirrelcookies.com/, and here’s your About page: https://squirrelcookies.com/about/. Is the home page back to “normal” now? Have you fixed or resolved the issue described above?

    Hi @squirrelcookiesbakery,

I checked your site and noticed that you’re on a special promotional Personal plan, which includes the ability to install plugins, rather than the Business plan. The theme you’re currently using is Bakery-and-Pastry, while the Coffee Shop theme is available only on the Business plan.

That said, I can see you have a well-designed homepage and an About page. However, I noticed that the About page is not included in your navigation menu. If you’d like to add it, you can follow the steps here:
    Edit Menus – WordPress.com Support

If the current homepage isn’t the one you’d like to use, you can create a new page titled Home, select any starter pattern you prefer, then customize it and set it as your homepage.

Also, since you’re on a paid plan, you can reach out to us directly via email or chat for support anytime.
