  How do I recover a domain, for which I bought a subscription but then accidentally cancelled it?

  Hi there!

  I see that your domain was canceled and you were refunded in full. Can you tell us if you plan on using the domain with your WordPress.com site or elsewhere?

  I ask because if you want to use it on WordPress.com, you also need a paid plan. You can upgrade to a yearly paid plan at https://wordpress.com/plans and we can restore the domain at no additional cost to you because our yearly paid plans include a domain for the first year.

  Here are other ways you can restore the domain:

  1. Buy the domain again. We’ll send you a payment request of $18 and restore the domain after you’ve paid.
  2. Wait for the domain to be released. If a domain is canceled within its refund period, it is released into the market about a week later. However, there’s no guarantee that you can get it again as when it’s released, anyone can register it.
