Accidentally changed theme and lost widgets

  Hi there,

  I accidentally changed my theme and lost all my widgets and comments. Is it possible to get them back without having to set them up again?

  In the end, I’ve simply redone all my widgets. But I have another question…!

  Can I transfer or copy the complete content of my existing blog to another blog, so I can try it out in another style and experiment with it?

  Hi there – yep, typically when you change your theme, you have to drag the widgets back into the sidebar for the new theme, since different themes have different widget areas. In future, you can drag your widgets into the “Inactive Widgets” module here before switching, so that they’re saved there with all their settings:

  Then you can just drag them back.

  Yep, you can create a test blog in your same account (you’ll probably want to set it to private) and then export your content and import it into the test blog:
  Export
  Import

  This doesn’t delete the content on your actual blog; it just moves a copy.

  Um, I have another question which is somewhat related, if anyone out there knows the answer…

  Is there any auto-backup of my blog, or anyway of doing an auto-backup? I’m just afraid one day I may accidentally delete or overwrite my content.

  Thanks in advance for any help or clarification on this issue.
