Accidentally deleted domain
-
I paid for a custom domain but became confused when I saw that it simply redirected to my .wordpress.com domain. So, thinking I did something wrong or selected the wrong plan, I cancelled the domain. However, I learned after deleting it how to make a website my main domain. I know there is a 30 day grace day period, will I be able to get that domain back?
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

Hello –
Sure thing. I will be glad to help you get this sorted. Looking at the account I can see that monykaenid.com was cancelled. Please confirm this is the domain you’re inquiring about, and if not, share the domain in question. Thanks.

Thanks for confirming.
You appear to have canceled monykaenid.com, which has resulted in a refund and means that you no longer own it. However, you do have a few options for getting it back, let us know which you would like to move forward with!
1. Wait for grace period to end – Your domain is in a 5 day grace period (from the time you cancelled) but at the end of that it goes on sale again. As long as no one buys it before you do, you can purchase it again with another provider. According to our records it will be available on or about Oct. 21 2022
2. Let us recover the domain – Because you have already been refunded, we can send an invoice for registration fees and restore the domain. You’ll be able to connect it to a new host as soon as it’s restored, then transfer the registration after 60 days.
3. Stay on WordPress.com – The cost of your domain is included in your yearly (not monthly)plan purchase. To restore your domain just purchase a new yearly plan, and then let us know so we can reattach the domain to your WordPress.com site.
Hope that helps! Please let us know how you would like to proceed, thanks!

I think the best bet for me is to wait for my grace period to end. Thank you so much for your help!
