accidentally deleted registered domain

  I registered nhu-rami.com under wordpress.com and realized I wanted to self-host instead. I botched the transfer though, and canceled the premium package and lost the domain. Is there any way you can release it for me so I can re-register it?

  Early release is out of the control of WordPress.COM, the policy for release is set by the Registrar.

  You should be able to change the name servers to your new host to use nhu-rami.com on an outside web site

  I suspected, so I sent an email to wildwestdomains (under which the domain is registered), but they said that they can’t help and that I’d have to contact wordpress directly.

  Here is the exchange, for the record:
