Accidentally deleted site

    I meant to start a new site with an existing address by changing the address to free the old one for a new site. Unfortunately, I seem instead to have deleted the old site address. Please would a member of WordPress staff help me restore the old site address?

    Hi there!

    We can restore a deleted site within 30 days, but it’s not possible to undo a site address change. We show clear warnings that the old address will no longer be available when you go through the steps of changing the site address. It looks like this:

    The site address can only be changed after confirming the checkbox.

    In any case, it’s not possible to restore the old address anymore. Perhaps you can register a custom domain so that the WordPress.com address is not visible to your visitors? With a yearly WordPress.com plan, you will get a free domain for the first year. You can check out our plans and pricing here: https://wordpress.com/pricing

    After upgrading, you can register a new domain and make it primary.
