Accidently activated theme

  Hello! I was hoping to try out new themes to see what they looked like. I didn’t notice the try out new theme on the dropdown, and so assumed Activating would just let me try it on without saving. It has now saved it and I have lost my original theme – can you help me get it back? I think it was called Dusk till Dawn and I couldn’t see it on the search. Worried it is too old to return…

  Themes are just “skins” on WordPress.COM hosted blogs.
  Note that switching themes https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/#switch-themes can be easily done, provided you are logged in as Admin under the same username account that registered the site you just go to
  and type in the theme name and click activate.

  The theme customizer https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/ provides a preview function for exactly that purpose ie. so you can view what a theme will appear like prior to changing one.

  Worried it is too old to return…

  Themes are retired when they no longer support all wordpress.com features and that is a retired theme. As you used it before on that site you can use it again. However, the recommendation is to select a newer theme that does support all wordpress.COM features.

  Thanks so much for your reply – until I have time to select a new one, I would like to go back to the old. You said I can use it again. Can you tell me how?

  Just go here http://lizibond.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php type in the name of the theme and click the activate link when it appears.

  Oh! I just checked and the correct theme name is Dusk To Dawn.
