accidently published site, tried to fix it, now have 404 error when trying to login

Help! I have no idea what I’m doing, I accidently published my site… finally got back to the main dashboard menu page, I was trying to get rid of the /wp/ after my domain name, didn’t understand why it was there, so I went into settings, general and deleted the wp after my domain name, now I get a 404 error and can’t get back to the main page for working on my website… I’m usually pretty good at making a mess of things, so please if anyone can help, or who can I contact to help?

Hi els0337,
I can see one site connected to your account — els0337.com. Is this the site you are working on?
Just let me know and we’ll go from there.
Thanks!

Hi, thanks for the responses, I ended up just uninstalling and reinstalling wordpress, I hadn’t gotten very far with my website anyway… I figured out why there was a /wp after my domain name, didn’t realise it was on the install setup, so I changed it on the reinstall…

Hi there,
Sounds like you’re working on a self-hosted WordPress site, not a WordPress.com one. In future, the best place to get help if you run into technical difficulties is here:
