Accordian Styles

  I am currently trying to set up a simple page where you can click on a name and an accordian style opens up below the name with a decription of that person contributions. Is there a theme or a widget I can use?

  I am still having difficulties. Maybe I am just very dumb when it comes to web design but after adding the Authors widget I could figure out how to edit and ad new authors. I really wish there was a number I could call for some assistance. If I cant figure this out by end of work day tomorrow I will find another company.

  There is no phone support here. Widgets display data that is gained from elsewhere in the blog. There are some setting in the widget you can configure as this guide outlines > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/authors-widget/ But until you actually have authors, who have published posts on the blog you may want to change your focus.

  Very simply I am trying to create a widget that when you click on a name of a contributor, as opposed to taking the viewer to a new window, the information drops down or appears next to the name they have selected. I was told this is called an accordion style. If this is not available, I will try something else, but I am not a web designer and have no training in this field. I find this site very hard to understand. With no support I have been dealing with this issue for going on two weeks and am getting frustrated as my deadline approaches.

  The kind widget you describe is not available here.
  1. Clicking the author’s name on any posts they have published will produce all of their published posts.
  2. Creating a category in the author’s name produces the same result.
  3. The author’s widget produces the same result.
  4. In themes that provide an author profile once again the same result when clicking.

  Thanks for trying to help. However, I do not want to add authors to the website, I am talking about contributors to the charity or company. Unrelated to the website, just their information being displayed.

  At any rate, if it can not be done then I guess I’ll have to deal. Thanks anyways.
