  While accounts themselves cannot be deleted, you can follow this guide in order to lock up all your personal information and then walk away from the account https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/ and this extended Staff reply here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/delete-account-forever-1?replies=3#post-2714085
