    Hi,
You can recover your account even if you have forgotten your username and password. Please read the below link.

    Hi,
I have tagged this thread to a staff member to help you regarding the same.

    Thank you.

  • Hi there,

Are you referring to the blog URL liril.net/wordpress/?

That is the URL of the self-hosted site connected to your account via JetPack.

    Hi there,

You are right, i do have self-hosted site and i have used JetPack, so what should i do to retrieve my password? The server that i used to host wordpress was shut down, and i can not login it.

i got Sorry but the website you gave does not exist on WordPress.com. Is it a self-hosted WordPress.org website? when i fill the form to recover my account.

  • Hi there,

It appears from the Whois Data that your registrar is hichina.com. I would contact them and let them know that you are unable to access your site – they should be able to assist you.

Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

    Hi there,

I only have access to my domain, but the server I used to host my blog was shut down, and I haven’t back up my data, so I can not restore my website.

What else can I do to reset my password. I do have my active url and I can access my email account, is that enough to prove my wordpress account’s ownership?

  • Since liril.net is self-hosted, we here at WordPress.com do not have any access to the backend of the site or any of its content, unfortunately.

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two, different entities, but the essential difference is that we don’t have access to all WordPress sites, only ones hosted on our WordPress.com servers. For more information, please see:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

I would contact the forums at wordpress.org/support and see if they can assist you with ideas on how to regain your content – I’m not sure how that will be possible with the server hosting the site being shut down. However, they should be able to point you in the right direction.

    Thanks,

    Hi there,

Thanks a lot for your help, is there anyway that i can re-register my email? Maybe it will be a good idea?

  • Is it possible to register your email at the host that it was before? Or was that also on the same server that was taken down?
