  Can I take down my account from the web but still maintain the account until I am ready to repost it?

  Hello @jsandmann,

  Yes, you can do this. Let me explain you the available option for this.

  You can set your site visibility to private, this will serve your purpose. Go to My Site → Settings and look for Privacy on the General tab.

  Setting your site to private for a few hours or even a few days will have no impact on your SEO as well.

  It takes weeks for Google to index, re-index, or de-index your site, and you should be setting your site back to public long before Google even realizes it’s no longer visible.
