Account access
-
I cannot access my blog seculardiscourse.wordpress.com. The account recovery mechanism fails to acknowledge the existence of the account. The email mechanism wont direct me to support for access.

Hi there,
The Admin login link is http://seculardiscourse.wordpress.com/wp-admin/You most likely registered more than one username account and that could be the cause of this issue if seculardiscourse.wordpress.com was not registered by https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/cjmackay55
You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibilityIf you have lost your log-in information you can visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
Your last resort for obtaining access is to complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery with as much information as possible and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums which are available to everyone with internet access.

Know that there is single means of account recovery https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and there is a backlog of account recovery requests that Staff are working their way through.

Hi timetheif,
Here’s the thing, I can’t see seculardiscourse as a blog through my account at all.
I tried various means to access it, all failed. So I ended up filling in the account recovery form; upon submission it says:
“Your contact email is the same as your account – if you can receive emails you should try the password reset form instead.”
and will not submit the form

I tagged this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. Note there is a backlog so you will have to wait patiently for Staff help.

Hi @cjmackay55,
It looks like this was already resolved through private email. Please keep all additional correspondence in that email thread. I’ll be closing this forum thread to prevent confusion.
