Account activation, domain name verification, linking my domain to wordpress

    I need help I am so frustrated and overwhelmed with what to do.

    I need to purchase Premium or Business, what I see is ‘.wordpress’ in the domaine and I don’t want that; why purchase something you don’t want?

    The steps to get my domain from gsuite and name.com aren’t the same on my screen as the video, I don’t know what to do to get this started I’m just confused. This is my second day trying to get my domain from Name.com to wordpress.

    Can someone walk me through this?

    I’ll be happy to help. So, once you purchase the plan upgrade, you will be able to register a custom domain. That custom domain looks like yoursite.com instead of yoursite.wordpress.com. The custom domain takes over the free site address – so your visitors will only see the custom option in their browsers or when searching on Google, etc.. Make sense?

    It sounds like you already own a domain. Is that right? Please share that information.

    There’s 2 ways to connect it after you’ve added the plan to your account.

    1. domain mapping: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
    2. domain transfer: https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/
