Account break in – IMPORTANT

  Hello,

  Today, my account was sort of hacked. Someone got into it, changed a few things on my blog jednoduchoknihy.wordpress.com and then left. I checked my gmail, and there was nothing about it. Of course, I changed my passwords. However, I can’t restore all the things they’ve changed just out of my memory.

  Therefore my question is, can it be somehow restored? From a certain date AND time. Also, is there some way of knowing who tried to do this?

  They changed a few things on our front page – our name and our slogan and we fixed that but they´ve also changed our theme, which concerns us most cause we don´t remember it all that well.
  It´s hard to say if they´ve changed other things cause we´ve got a lot of content on the blog, but it seems okay.
  It happened around nine p.m. yesterday.

  @jednoduchoknihy just noting we did some research on your hack and weren’t able to find anything too suspicious. It looks like someone just got a hold of your password somehow and used that to log in and make changes, or you may have left yourself logged in where someone else could access things. So from here we’ll recommend two things:

  – Enable 2FA for your account. More info here:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/security/two-step-authentication/

  – Be sure you’re logging out whenever you use public computers
