Account closing advice

I was wondering if I close my WordPress account and my sites info is deleted from word press, can I get a new account later using the same domain?

The reason I ask is I’m new to website building and most things tech when it comes to online configurations, coding, etc.

However I purchased an acount with bluehost and attempted to build a wordpress website a month ago but my subscription ended before I could manage to renew it.

I don’t pay for another month or more just to lose it again.

So I thought I would try a free website host like google sites to learn how to build my site. then if possible to do so, come back to wordpress and build my website again.

  • Hi –

WordPress.com offers free hosting. You already have a site address and free plan established for lifetipsandtoolscom.wordpress.com. My suggestion is that you do the testing there and build your project. This way, when you’re ready to upgrade and take things to the next step you’re not rebuilding anything. We will just add your custom domain and upgraded hosting plan – easy peasy.

The personal plan is our entry level option that will allow you to register a custom domain and gain access to additional tools that are going to help your project find further success. You’ll also be able to remove ads from the site with this option. This plan is only $4/month. It’s not going anywhere and will be there when you’re ready to take that step.

For now, I want to share some materials to help you get going with WordPress.com and see what our hosting, and tools offer on the free plan (they only get better from there). On WordPress.com our team does all the heavy lifting and back end management. That’s unique to us as a managed hosting environment. This allows you to focus on your content and/or business and not fuss with those important and time consuming items. Write back to me here with any more questions.
