Hi there today is my last day at my company and I am trying to remove my profile, John Day, from our blog. Is Account Closure the proper way to do this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi johnday,
Instead of closing down your account, you can ask the admin of the blog to have you remove from whatever role they have assigned to you. You can provide them with the link below.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#removing-usersIf you are the owner, you can transfer the ownership of your blog to another WordPress account by following the instructions below

Please let us know if you have more questions -
Hi there,
I just want to clarify that you don’t need to ask the admin of the site to remove you. You can leave any site on WordPress.com where you’ve been added as a user yourself.
Go to the site’s WP-Admin dashboard and click on My Blogs in the menu. If you hover your mouse over the blog address a Leave Blog link should appear.

Only delete your account if you want to completely remove this WordPress.com username account from our system. Content you added to the site will remain, but all sites you own, your username, and all personal data we have for you will be removed from our systems completely. It is not possible to reverse an account closure or to restore a deleted site once the data has been erased.
