Account closure
-
I am trying to build a site for my business but in the process appear to have created two separate accounts with the same email. One seems to have formed when I went into Askimet and now every time I try to log in it takes me to this account and not the business account and says I have no more sites. I’m also having difficulty logging on and can only seem to get into the business one if I keep changing passwords. Today, I can’t find it at all. I’ve spent money on jetpack etc but to be honest, I’m ready to ditch wordpress for an alternative. Any suggestions from Wordpess appreciated. Thanks.

Which two username accounts have you created?
The wordpress.COM blog’s owner can change the relevant email address on their accounts page at https://wordpress.com/me/account at any time. A confirmation email will be sent to that address.

Have you tried clearing your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies before logging in again under another account?

Hi there,
in the process appear to have created two separate accounts with the same email.
That is not possible – the same email address cannot be used for more than one WordPress.com account. I believe you that you have another account, as there are no sites or upgrades connected to this account, but it would be connected to a different email.
What is the address of the site for which you bought a Jetpack plan?
I’m also having difficulty logging on and can only seem to get into the business one if I keep changing passwords.
Are you speaking of when you try to log directly into the site’s dashboard? That login has nothing to do with a WordPress.com account – the admin username and password for your site is stored directly in the site’s database on your hosting provider’s servers, and we have no access to or control over it.
But if you give the site address we can hopefully help you sort this out, or at least point you to the right place for support.
