  Hello, I would like to close my account and not have any charges charged to my credit card. Please close my account or let me know what needs to be done so that I am not charged.

  Hi there. You can cancel auto-renew of an upgrade or cancel a trial upgrade, from the My Upgrades page. See here for instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades

  You cannot delete your wordpress.com username account. This is for security reasons so others cannot claim your username and impersonate you. http://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/

  The only details you were required to provide when signing up for your account was an email address. WordPress.com will never send you spam to that email address and also won’t sell it to third parties, as clearly stated in their privacy policy.

  If you change that email to a throwaway address there will be no way your account could ever be linked to you. Any other details that you added yourself, you also have the power to delete yourself.   If you used your real name as your username you can change that to a random username that cannot be connected to you. The existing username will then cease to exist and won’t be available for anyone, including you, to ever use again: http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/

  None of that worked.

  I do NOT want the account. Please make it so that I am not charged.

  As I said, there’s no way to close or delete the account, but I’ll tag this for staff so they can make sure there’s no pending charges. Please be patient while waiting for their reply.
