  I’m trying to close my account and would like to know will my money be funded back to my account since the account is fairly new?

  Can you please share your site URL?

  You can try to close your account by canceling any of your upgrades.

  You just need to navigate to Manage Purchases page: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases

  and then you can find the upgrade you’d like to get a refund in the list and select Cancel and Refund.
