account confusion

I made an account with the same email when commenting on a different wordpress blog, but now i made this current account, with the same email. Now when I go back to that blog and log in with my current username & password, it thinks i’m the old user with the same email but different username. This looks like a pretty big messup, allowing two accounts with the same email and then confusing the two at login.

There is a single email address that can be used on only one wordpress.COM username account and not on any others, regardless of how many blogs are registered under that username account.
The wordpress.COM blog’s owner can change the relevant email address on their accounts page at https://wordpress.com/me/account at any time. A confirmation email will be sent to that address.
