Account Confusion

Hi There. I think we made a mistake. We are new business owners and created an account with SiteGround. I had Word Press installed as the platform for our website which I am very excited about. I didn’t realize that I have to wait until it gets processed by SiteGround, so I came to this website and created a Word Press account; the one I am logged into. Do I need to delete this account, so the SiteGround Word Press account can be created with our business info? Thanks.

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are a little separate, and that can be confusing.
This account won’t in any way interfere. You’ll have your own account on your site that’s in a separate database on your host. You might keep this account, as WordPress.com logins are used for the Jetpack plugin, Akismet, Gravatar, and other things that are useful when you have a WordPress site.
You do not need to create a site here, as one would be installed at your host. You can get more help for that type of site here: https://wordpress.org/support
