Account Created With My Email

  Hello,

  A few hours ago a new wordpress account was created with my email. I never created this and have no idea what this is. I don’t know if this was accidental or intentional. Is there any way to contact the owner or should I just delete the account?

  Hi there, no, there’s no way to contact the person who used your email address to create an account. (Is it possible you were invited to view a friend’s Private WordPress.com site, which requires you to have a WordPress.com account?)

  If you want to delete this account, you can do so following this guide: https://wordpress.com/support/close-account/ Be aware that final deletion of your account will only happen after 30 days, which gives you time to reverse the deletion. After that, it’s permanently gone.
