Account created without my knowledge.

Gmail, GitHub, and Mozilla (Addons) are the only companies I gave a certain email address to.

    Within days, I get:

    Howdy!

We noticed that you haven’t published a blog post yet at your new WordPress.com site. We’re always looking to make WordPress.com better and we would love it if you helped us improve things by answering a couple quick questions.

You can take our survey at:

    Thanks for your help,
    Michael

I never signed up for a WordPress.com account. I never knowingly checked a box or left a box checked indicating I would like an account created. Why was an account created?

More importantly, how can I get WordPress.com to delete it? Considering their normal policy is to tell you to remove yourself from mailing and then let it go inactive, how do I get them to remove a fraudulant account?

FYI: The redacted email address was user-experience [@] wordpress.com.

    GitHub > Gravatar > WordPress.

Then, for some reason, even though when I login to WordPress.com it says “create blog”, I get a survey asking why I haven’t posted… Posted where? To my not-yet-created blog?

What about me getting a gravatar account indicates I want to create a blog, let along make a post?

The “algorithm” used to collect the recipients for that emailing was screwed up. Please fix your stuff and don’t send out stupid, irrelevant mailings.
