Account delete request

  • Unknown's avatar

    Dear WordPress Team,

I just created this account to contact you, cuz I wasn’t able to do that.
I would like to kinly ask your help please.
In the past (6 years ago) I created a blog here on WordPress, but I would like to kindly ask you to delete it since I was young and I made some posts about myself and love and how I think of love. These days it’s really annoying that if my colleagues search my name on the internet it comes up and they often offend me cuz of this one.

Please delete this blog completely: https://wilden.wordpress.com

If you need any personal identification card copy or anything just tell me and I can send you.

    Sincerely and kind regards,

    Gergely Fiedermann

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Gergely,

Keep in mind that once you choose to delete, this is a permanent action. This is something that you yourself will need to do.

To delete your site permanently, you can follow this link: https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

Thank you for the instructions, but I don’t have access to that profile. My e-mail which was registered to that account has been deleted. Can you help me to solve this problem please?

    Hello,

Although you do not have the email address any longer, you should still be able to use your login.

Are you able to log in to the account associated with the https://wilden.wordpress.com/ address? If so, you can change your email address, confirm your new address and then delete it. See here:

    Change Your Email Address

If not, you can try account recovery.
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/

You will have to provide proof of ownership. If you don’t have login information, access to the email associated with the account, and cannot provide any information requested on the account recovery form, then you won’t be able to gain access to the account.

    Hi Gary,

Sorry that you are in this predicament. It’s not as easy to get a site deleted by just asking.

As @mariahpierson mentioned fill out the Account Recovery form and hopefully you can get access to your account so you can have it deleted. If you are not able to supply sufficient information to get your access back, then a staff member may possibly make the site private so the public would not have access.

I’ve tagged this post with “modlook”. This will call on a staff member to take a look.

    Cheers

Only the account that owns a site can delete it. In extreme cases we can also do it, but only at the request of the verified owner of the site. We do not delete or make changes to a site at the request of any other user under any circumstances.

The only way to prove your ownership is via the account recovery form linked to by @mariahpierson and @brianzed. If you are unable to provide any of the verification info required by the form there is nothing else that we can do in this case.

    @mariahpierson @brianzed @kokkieh

Thank you for your advices, as I mentioned peviously I don’t have access neither to my old e-mail accounts. In this case I’m not able to recover my account through your account recovery system.

Another solution would be perfect for me, that I can send a copy of my passport / personal identification card and you could reciver that account for me or simply delete it.

If it’s not acceptable there’s one more thing what could be absolutely perfect for me. I totally understand that you can recover an account if I can pove that I’m the owner of the account which I’m not able to do right now.
So, if you could just simply HIDE the whole https://wilden.wordpress.com site/blog from the public, that other people who are strangers/guests and not members of the WordPress community can NOT see anything from the site that would be absolutely perfect for me.

Are there any chance you can do thsi for me?

I really need your help, I do not want to be fired or offended in my work due to this, or neither any problems from this thing. Please delete it, hide it from the public or help me to solve this case I would appreciate it for you for a whole life.

Please also check it that there’s no activity on that account. I’m not able to do anything without your help.

    Sincerely and kind regards,

    Gergely
