  I deleted my wordpress account but it’s somehow still kind of up and I still keep receiving notifications emails when people I used to follow post to wordpress

  Hi there,

  Are you speaking of this account, morningstarbooks? You’ve deleted all the sites in this account, but not the account itself.

  It’s not possible to completely delete a WordPress.com username account, but if you no longer want to receive email notifications you can completely block them on this page:

  https://wordpress.com/me/notifications/subscriptions/

  Then you won’t receive any new post notifications any more.

  If you want to go the extra step, you can set up a free email address with someone like yahoo or Gmail, change your WordPress.com account email to that address, and then delete the email account. If you then change the password on your WordPress.com account to something long and random, that will lock up the account so no one, including you, can ever access it again.
