  I no longer will move forward with designing and maintaining a website so would like to delete my account. How do I go about doing so? I was able to delete the actual website but not my account. Thanks!

  Hello there,

  You cannot delete a WordPress.com account for good, but you can empty it out from all your data and leave it inactive.

  Here are the steps to make sure that any of your personal data can’t be fetched once you leave your WordPress account inactive:

  – Empty your site: https://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/
  – Delete your site: https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
  – Remove all personal information from your account settings: https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-settings/
  – Change your password to a random string: https://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/#change-your-password
