Account Deletion or Recovery with inactive email address and forgotten password
-
Hi There,
I started a blog years ago when I was in university as part of a digital course thus I used my University email address. I want to delete this account and all of its posts but of course cannot remember the password since I set it up in 2010 and have not used it since.
My university email address used to set this up also no longer exists so I cannot do a “Forgot Password” action to retrieve it. Is there any way to contact someone at WordPress or do anything to get access to this?
Help is appreciated. The blog is: https://daniellevc.wordpress.com/
Thank you.

Hi,
If you don’t have the original email used to set up the account, you can use the following information to gain access:
– A transaction ID for any upgrades purchased for the account:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/transaction-id/
– The account activation link which we sent to your email when you first registered. You can use this information in the account recovery form:
If you aren’t able to provide the original email, transaction ID or account activation link, it isn’t possible to recover the account.
WordPress has strict policies to protect its users from third parties who might be trying to access users’ accounts.
All the best.
