Account details – Website
-
I am trying to update the website listed under Account Details, as the current one is no longer operational. When I type in my new website, and hit update, the screen refreshes like everything worked proper, but the old website is still listed. Can this be updated, or am I just missing something?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Is the one that is no longer operational hosted here at wordpress.COM or was it a self-hosted blog that was linked so that you could use the API key for the Akismet or blog stats plugin?
-
It was a wordpress hosted one that I started a few years back, and never really got to making it fly. Now, a few years later, I have started a different blog that has nothing to do with that one (that has been deleted by me a long time ago) and would like my current blog to show up when I make comments on other blogs.

Go to users > personal settings and under “primary blog” set it to the blog you are currently using, then click “save.” Next, go down into account details and put in the URL of the blog you want linked to your username.
See if that works.

I just tried that, and when I hit update after entering the account details one it reverts back to the first one. The URL under primary blog is my current one, that updated. Just not the one under account details…

Well, I’m out of suggestions then. I’ll tag this thread so that hopefully staff will see it and respond. Perhaps there is a bug somewhere.
What URL are you trying to put into the website field by the way?
-
Under account details, the URL I want to get rid of is http://audioecstacy.wordpress.com. My current blog, that I want to get attached to my user name instead of the previous one, is http://thewinningpick.wordpress.com.
sacredpath, thank you for tagging, and also thank you for trying.

The only other thing I can suggest is to log out of wordpress, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then try again.
And you are welcome.

This MIGHT have some effect: Update your Flash. The last version was buggy, so try again. We had a similar problem a few years ago and updating Flash helped.

I went to upgrade it, and I currently have the current version. This is quite perplexing…I can type my new one in, hit update, but when the page refreshes afterwards it has my old one still.

I just tried it, and it appears to have worked! I don’t know what you did, but thank you!
Thank you to all of you who helped me figure this out.
