Account gone??

I still have a name and email address, but when I go to my sites, it says I don’t have any, and the profile fields are all blank. There is also no purchase history. Yet, I still have a website, so what happened?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you are experiencing issues with your WordPress website, such as seeing a message saying you don’t have any website and encountering blank profile fields with no purchase history, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

    1. Clear Browser Cache:
      • Clear your browser cache and cookies. Sometimes, cached data can cause display issues.
    2. Check Domain and Hosting:
      • Verify that your domain is correctly pointed to your hosting provider. Ensure that your hosting plan is active and that there are no issues with your hosting service.
    3. WordPress.com Account Login:
      • Make sure you are logging in with the correct WordPress.com account associated with your website. Double-check your login credentials.
    4. Check Account Status:
      • Log in to your WordPress.com account and check your account status. Ensure that your website is listed under your account and that the subscription is active.
    5. Contact WordPress.com Support:
      • If you still experience issues, contact WordPress.com support. They can investigate and provide assistance based on your specific account details.
    6. Verify Domain Ownership:
      • If you are using a custom domain, ensure that you have verified ownership of the domain. This may involve updating DNS settings or confirming domain ownership through your domain registrar.
    7. Review Billing Information:
      • Confirm that your billing information is up to date. An expired credit card or payment issue could lead to disruptions in service.
    8. Check Site Health:
      • If you can access the WordPress dashboard, go to “Tools” > “Site Health” and check for any critical issues or recommended improvements.
    9. Review Recent Changes:
      • Consider if any recent changes, updates, or installations might have caused the issue. Revert recent changes if possible and see if the problem persists.
    10. Inspect WordPress Admin Panel:
      • If you can access the WordPress admin panel, navigate to “Users” > “Your Profile” and verify that your profile information is correct.
    11. Inspect Website Database:
      • If you have technical expertise, you can check your website’s database for any issues. Ensure that the necessary tables and data related to your website are intact.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, it’s important to contact WordPress.com support for personalized assistance. They can investigate the problem specific to your account and help you resolve any underlying issues.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, it did not help. I completed Step 1 but everything else I could not do, because again it does not see a domain, a site, an account, or anything else besides just my profile picture and my username (@gorillabay8). I have to go to my site (not the account one), then click on my profile. Then I get error messages “Failed to retrieve all domains” and “You need to be logged into WP.com to access this resource.” Everything is blank. It thinks I don’t have a website. But I can still go to my website as if I was a random visitor.

What’s super frustrating is that you say “Contact WordPress.com Support” but there appears to be no way to do that directly. I can only post a topic in the forum, which I did. I hope you can further assist me or give me a link or something where I can get direct support from an actual WordPress employee.

Thanks again, at least this is a start.

If you’re logged in to the right account then it will be a browser issue as with your problems previously. WordPress and browsers are constantly being tweaked and it doesn’t take much to upset things.

Okay, so all I had to do was log out and log back in. I didn’t realize I had this exact same issue about 3 1/2 years ago. Another user had commented on that thread that she was experiencing the same issue, and resolved it by logging out and logging back in, and that solved it. Same here this time around. Hopefully the next time this happens I’ll remember! Thanks for your help.
