    Hi – I recently tried to set-up an account with my email ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) and was told that there was already an account associated with that email. I tried to reset the password and received the password reset emails that said the email was connected to an username – ‘euclidambler’. I don’t recall creating this account and think it’s fake. Can you all help disconnect my email from this account? Thanks!

    Hi there!

    You can change the email address on this account to one you do not want to use with WordPress.com and then close the account.
    The reason why you would first change the email address is that after the account closure, your email address will be blocked for 30 days and you won’t be able to use it with another account during this time.
