  Hi there,

  I have been contracted by the owner of a site to help gain access back to his account.
  The website/ WordPress account was set up through a contractor. Unfortunately, the contractor has left but has not handed over the website to the business owner.
  We no longer have full control over the website (only contractor admin access).
  How can we gain ownership back? The business owner is happy to confirm any of his personal details with WordPress if needed.

  Hi Brandon,

  Can you tell us the URL of the site in question?

  We’re only able to help with sites that are hosted with us on WordPress.com, and we’re only able to give someone access to a site/account if they are able to verify their site ownership via our account recovery process described at https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/
