Account login issues, blog connection issues, and more!

OK. Well.. I’m sure there may be something similar that I can search for to help, but so far my initial searches have come up empty. This is pretty unique I suppose, or at least I have not found any help yet… hence the new thread. Here goes..

-I initially started out with a blog that was hosted by wordpress. I used account 1 with this blog.
-I purchased a hosting plan for my domain (diversebydesign.net) and started a wordpress blog to be hosted on that account with a new user account (account 2)
-of course I was then given the opportunity to make a new account to be used when loging in as admin on “wp-login” as we all are I imagine (account 3 – not really an issue here)
-I deleted the first blog yesterday as I was not using it and everything was done on my domain hosted blog (diversebydesign)
-I then gave account 1 access as admin to the blog hoping this would help with any future access issues. Plus I knew that the account could not be deleted so I figured I would just keep it. I could use it as a secondary posting account/identity/whatever.
-I was attempting to connect my blog with Klout.com and that is when I discovered all my login and access issues.
-I can login under account 1 sometimes. Maybe it depends on exactly what the url I am attempting to log into is?
-I can log in to my blog, but only through the “wp-login” url. If I ever try to login through a radio button on the wordpress site or from viewing my blog i get errors telling me that I am not authorized to access the blog and I should ask the admin to invite me. This of course is pointless considering I already have both accounts set up as admin.

I have a couple other minor related issues, but these are the biggest. I think if I can get these ironed out the rest will follow. And with Klout? Whenever I try to connect my blog to my Klout account, no matter what account I try to login in with, it just will not let me access the blog. Or if it does it brings me to a dashboard and seems to forget that the only reason I was there was to make the klout/blog connection.

Any idea from the experts? I have tried most everything that I can think of.

    Thanks in advance!!

The blog you specified at http://www.diversebydesign.net does not appear to be hosted at WordPress.com.

This support forum is for blogs hosted at WordPress.com. If your question is about a self-hosted WordPress blog then you’ll find help at the WordPress.org forums.

If you don’t understand the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, you may find this information helpful.

If you forgot to include a link to your blog, you can reply and include it below. It’ll help people to answer your question.

You are in the wrong forum – see above for more info

    Your correct log-in is: http://www.diversebydesign.net/wp-login.php

You don’t have a log-in option set up on the front page of your blog – both WordPress.ORG installs (yours) and WordPress.COM blogs (here and your old blog) have a log-in that looks virtually the same.

Ok.. I get it. And thanks. I did post a similar question there after reading this. But who is actually responsible for helping with account issues with WordPress as these are not really “blog” issues?

I mean both of the accounts I am referencing will allow me access to THIS site but NOT the .ORG one.. well, when they let me in. I had to log in five different times just to be able to post this and five different ways. Anyway.. what about just deleting one of the accounts? This is NOT an option right?

    I get THIS ALOT:

User tonydbd Cannot Access the Dashboard Requested

You are logged in as “tonydbd” and do not not have the necessary privileges to access the dashboard for “WordPress.com”. If you are not “tonydbd”, please log out, and log back in with your username. If you are “tonydbd” and you need access, please ask an administrator of the site to invite you.

If you reached this screen by accident and meant to visit one your own sites, here are some shortcuts to help you find your way.
    Your Sites

Even though “tonydbd” DOES have the access. Another confusing thing is that you are saying I am in the wrong place, yet when I log in HERE I can access my blog through a link but the .ORG site seems to have NO connection. I know it is a hosting issue, but like I said.. this is all related to the accounts HERE at wordpress.COM’

Man I am confusing myself now!
