Account Ownership

Hi,
I own a domain and hired a company to build the site for me. I’ve logged into the account and changed the password and email to my personal one. I just noticed that he still owns the WP account and he has to confirm the transfer. How can I transfer it over to my account. I own it, I have access to it and I’ve paid for it.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Just to make sure we know which you’re referring to, is this a website itself [content-wise] or the domain registration? Or both?
To clarify, we do not currently support incoming domain name registration transfers from other companies, but you can still get any domain to work with your WordPress.com site. You would just map the domain to point to the account: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

It does sound you would need the 3rd option that chernabogalpha proposed will be what you’re looking for assuming that both your account and your developers account are both on WordPress.com

Be aware though, this will need to be carried out by the developer of the site in question whose email is associated with that site. You would not be able to do that from your end.
If they don’t comply with your request to carry this out, also be aware that this forum nor WordPress.com support staff will not be able to assist further as that heads into a legal dispute at that point.
Either way, I very much hope this helps out and you’re able to get your site added under your account.

I own the domain and have full control.
I have full control of the hosting.
The site has been developed on WP and they control the master account, I have admin access. How can I take over the master account and be the only one with access to the wordpress admin panel?
