    Hello

We need to make some changes to the webpage that we currently own. However, we do not have the admin permissions to edit anything on the site. We cannot even access the wp-admin panel or anything everything displays the message “There has been a critical error on this site. Please check your site administrator’s email inbox for instructions.”

We also cannot update the email address, as this requires access to the settings. However, we can see that the current administration email is “email@0.0.0.0”. Does anyone know how we can gain the necessary permissions or do anything on this case?

    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Howdy –

Thanks for reaching out to us. I’m looking at the account and can see that y’all were using a business plan here on WordPress.com. The domain hasn’t been connected to that plan yet. Would you like assistance finalizing those steps? It was connected to a trial which is expired.

You’ll be able to renew the hosting plan here: https://wordpress.com/checkout/xenitalcom.wpcomstaging.com/business

Select the yearly purchase option. That will save you 38% and also give you access to prioritized support from our team.

My general advice for folks is to build the project and connect the domain as the last step. This limits down time for your SEO and customers and makes for a smoother transfer overall.

Those detailed instructions are on this page.

If you already own a domain name with another provider, you can use that domain with your WordPress.com site. Follow the steps in this guide to keep your domain registered with your current provider and connect it to your WordPress.com site. Right now the domain is pointed to cloudflare. Those DNS records need updated to point it to your hosting plan here.

Thanks for answering! So, if we buy the bussiness plan, would we be able to edit the webpage with the account that I am right now? and what does the plan do exactly?

The domain is currently pointing to Cloudflare. Can we just change the DNS records to point to WordPress?

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

I see that you have the WordPress.com Migration Trial active on your account, which you can confirm here: https://wordpress.com/plans/my-plan/xenitalcom.wpcomstaging.com

Thanks for answering! So, if we buy the bussiness plan, would we be able to edit the webpage with the account that I am right now? and what does the plan do exactly?

To be sure I understand, you are trying to move the site currently at xenital.com away from CloudFlare hosting and on to our WordPress.com Managed Hosting platform instead, yes? Our hosting provides many benefits in both stability and security, as well as in-house support from our Happiness Engineers. You can learn more about the benefits of our Managed Hosting (as provided under the Business Plan) here: https://wordpress.com/hosting/

By migrating, you will be moving an exact copy of the site from it’s current hosting to our stable and secure managed hosting, where our support team will be available to help you with any ongoing questions you have with managing your site.

You can use this plugin to migrate, but to start the process you will first need to be able to log in to xenital.com (where it is now) so that you can install the plugin.

Is the issue that you are not able to sign in to your current site at xenital.com to start the migration process? Thanks for the additional info!

    Hello

Thanks for answering! Okay so, Our issue isn’t that we are trying to move from the hosting.. Our issue is that our site (Xenital.com) is in an account that doesn’t let us do anything, we can access with the WP-ADMIN credentials, but when we access, virtually everything else is unaccessible. When we click on any of the options, it just displays the white screen with the message “There has been a critical error on this site. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”. (we do not receive any email to that account) We think that it has something to do with the account’s permissions or with some sort of payment, but that’s just a guess.

So yeah “the issue that you are not able to sign in to your current site at xenital.com to start the migration process?” that’s kinda the problem, we can access the account, but we can’t access to any of the tools required to do the migration process or anything really. Pretty confusing stuff, I’m sorry.

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

I’ve checked your website and noticed that it’s actually using the WordPress.org software and is hosted by a different provider.

WordPress.org is the same foundational software we use here at WordPress.com, but it’s set up a little differently. Because of this, the specific help you may need can be different. To get the most appropriate help for your issue, I’d recommend posting your question in the official WordPress.org support forums, which you can find here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.

To explain, we are a fully managed hosting provider and use a custom server environment that is optimized for WordPress, provides built-in security and performance improvements, as well as in-house support for your site questions.

Because of the way we’ve optimized our service, we also use a customized version of WordPress that is different (under the hood) from what you use at your current provider. As a result, we do not have access to your site and are not familiar with the source of your issue.

Hope this helps clarify things for you.
