I am trying to change my email address in my account settings to better match my blog title and subject. I tried changing it in account settings but it didn’t accept the change. When I tried logging into forums it says my login information is invalid. WordPress doesn’t seem to recognize my account. I don’t want to sign out because I’m afraid I won’t be able to sign back in. Thanks for any help or insight.

If it says “There was a problem saving your changes”, then the email address you are attempting to use is probably associated with another WordPress.com account. Because each address can only be associated with one WordPress.com account, it will not allow you to use the same email again.
The solution is also easy. You can use a different email address that is not already in use, or you can log in to the account currently using your desired email address and change it to something else. Once changed, you can then reuse the email on a different account.
Don’t forget to click “Save Account Settings” once you’ve entered a new email address. After that you’ll receive an email at the new email address with a confirmation link. You must click the confirmation link to confirm the change and update the email on your account.
