  I was recently tasked with maintaining our church website, but can not access it using the login information provided by the previous appointee. I don’t have a lot of information, not even ready access to receipts for the account, since our treasurer does all of our payments by mailing a check.

  It would help if you revealed the full address of the site you’re trying to access. It may not be a site hosted here at WordPress.com as they don’t accept payments “by mailing a check”.
