Account Recovery
-
I cannot access my other account (username: jessicaharsevoort, url: http://www.jessicaharsevoort.wordpress.com, email: (email visible only to moderators and staff)) through the account recovery form. Is it possible to recover from here?
Here was the activation code: [redacted]

Hi there, that username was deactivated a few years ago with a username switch. It isn’t available anymore.
I’ve removed your activation link (we consider that private information) but if you’ll let us know what you’re hoping to do, we’ll help if we can.

Hm. OK, thank you.
I guess I was hoping to reactive or start a new account with the same username/url that I created oh so many years ago, instead of using this account.

Unfortunately that’s not possible. If a username is deleted via a username change, it is permanently deactivated and no one, not even the original owner, can ever use the same username again.
However, you can set a public display name for your account. If you set a display name, that will appear in place of your username as the author on your posts, and when you comment on other people’s posts. You can set a display name on the profile page at https://wordpress.com/me
Site URLs are permanently deactivated 30 days after a site address change or site deletion, so at that point no one can use the same address again either.
