Account recovery
-
Hi, a while ago I deleted my WordPress-hosted website somethingsomething.com and the matching account. I just discovered however that there is an old blog of mine, somethingsomething.wordpress.com still up. I really want it removed, because it comes up when people Google me and it is no longer representative of who I am. I cannot for the life of me figure out which account it is linked to or how to remove it though. I’ve tried ‘forgotten password’ for all my emailadresses and the only one that seems to exist is the one I’m in now, but that contains ”no pages’. Can you please help me find the account to remove the site?

Hi there!
Can you let us know what the URL is of the site because
somethingsomething.wordpress.comis a site that has no content. Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.Thank you!

Thanks! It looks like that account had purchases associated with the account in January 2020.
If you have the transaction IDs from charges on this account, you can use the Account Recovery form to prove ownership of the site, then WordPress.com support can help you from there. You can find that form here:
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
Just fill out as much information as you have including an email address where Support can get in touch. The transaction ID will be on your bank statement as
WordPressfollowed by a letter/number code. They’ll look like this:WordPress XXXXXXXXXXYou can read more about what the account recovery process entails here:
https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/
I hope that helps!
