account recovery

My Siteground hosting expired on June 28 without me realizing it and they deleted my backup from their server 3 weeks ago. I am devastated that my blog is apparently lost forever! Can I still login to my WP account to view my content and perhaps have WP host me instead?
Site: midlifeescape.com.
WP.com: Yes

Hello there,
Many thanks for reaching out.
Are you able to confirm the URL of the website that you need assistance with please?

Hello there,
Hope all is well with you!
May I also add that your site is a self-hosted WordPress site which is hosted with SiteGround. Please note that this Forum is dedicated to the support of WordPress.com managed sites.
We are happy to check as well when you share the URL of your website as requested by @aleone89
However, I suggest that you reach out to SiteGround support for further assistance with your site’s back-up.
Have a pleasant day ahead and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Stay safe.

Your site was not hosted with WordPress.com. It was a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with Siteground.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
It was also not using our backup product https://jetpack.com/upgrade/backup/ so we won’t be able to directly assist with this.
Your best option would be to ask Siteground if they still have a backup of your account with them: https://www.siteground.com/company#contactus
If they do not, you’re welcome to start a new site here via https://wordpress.com/start and you can at least copy/paste your content from an archived copy, like https://web.archive.org/web/20210228211023/https://midlifeescape.com/
