Account recovery

The page to login is blocked because our password is on a list with passwords that are leaked. Because the person that made the login is not working at us for years, we can’t recover the account ourselves because we don’t have acces to a 2 Factor Authentication code, we don’t have access to the Email Address that was used and we don’t have proof of account ownership. We are stuck. How can we recover this website?

    WP.com: Unknown
    Jetpack: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    Hi there:

We are unable to help because we don’t host your site directly on our WordPress.com managed hosting. Instead, your site is hosted with a different provider on a separate host, and we’re not able to access the backend of your site to take a closer look. But, I can get you pointed in the right direction to get help.

It looks like the 2FA is being added by the miniorange-2-factor-authentication plugin – you should be able to log into your site via FTP and remove the plugin folder under /wp-content/plugins/ to disable that.

If you don’t have your server’s FTP login, you can reach out to your hosting provider for that information or you can ask your host’s support to remove that plugin for you.

If you still have trouble, please reach out to the WordPress community for guidance:

    I hope that helps!
