Account Recovery

The URL shown (www.cignition.com) is currently set to redirect to fs.cignition.com, which is the domain our current site operates on. I need to retrieve admin access to the original http://www.cignition.com site, but the person who had access to that account no longer works for the company.

Hi there! I think there’s some confusion here. There are three different “WordPress” at play here:

    1. The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
    2. WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
    3. WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.

I don’t show that that domain was ever hosted here at WordPress.com, so there’s nothing we can do to help here. You would need to find out where the WordPress site was hosted previously.

I can see the WordPress software login page can still be found at https://cignition.com/wp-login.php – so that’s good news as the site files are still online somewhere. But you will need the help of the company hosting the site to help you regain access. Since they’re hosting your site’s files, they also have access to those files and are the best ones to help you with this issue.

If you still have trouble, please reach out to the WordPress community for guidance:

    I hope that helps!
