  I am unable to log into my account associated with my site. I thought this site was cancelled but my card was charged the renewal fee. I have tried recovering my account and the form is saying that my transaction id is not accurate and will not allow me to submit the form to receive help. Can some one from WordPress please contact me so I can confirm that the site is cancelled?

  Hello Caroline,

  I can’t see this site connected to this account.

  If you’ve been charged using a card you control, it’s possible to locate a transaction ID as per: https://en.support.wordpress.com/billing-history/#retrieving-a-transaction-id which can be used with the account recovery form here: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

  I no longer have access to the account that was associated with this sites because I thought everything had been cancelled/deleted.

  I have tried using the account recovery form and it tells me the transaction ID from my card is not a valid transaction ID. I am able to look up why I was charged (https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/) and have my receipt # but am not able to view the receipt because I closed the account associated with this site.

  Can you or someone else help me cancel everything and refund the charge to my card?

  WordPress.com accounts can’t be deleted if there are active upgrades under the account, so perhaps the charge you have is not from us?

  The transaction ID needed will be on your bank statement as “WordPress” followed by a 10-digit letter/number code. They’ll look like this:

  WordPress XXXXXXXXXX

  Otherwise, you can reply to the emailed receipt you have to contact support directly. The email will have the subject line “WordPress.com Receipt #[receipt number]” and explain the situation.

  What is the email address that the receipt would have come from?

  I do not have access to the email address that was associated with the site/account but was able to look up the receipt # based on the transaction ID on my card statement.

  I have tried logging into the account that was associated with this site but my password is not working and I do not have access to the email account anymore.

  Normally it should come from this address:help@wordpress.com

  You can of course reply to the receipt or email that address directly!
