Account Recovery
-
I no longer have access to the email nor the password for my old blog. In my posts however, you will see references to two of my published books, ‘All in Her Head’ and ‘All Over It.’ On my current website, you will find these books listed. (https://www.michellepaisleyreed.com/books Bottom of page) as well as links to the Amazon listings. Is there a way this can be merged with my current account under user name ‘mpaisleyreed’?
Thanks!

Hi,
This website mentioned does not seem to be hosted with WordPress.com. You should try contacting your own web hosting provider in case you need help with restoring access to it – it seems to be hosted with Squarespace.
WordPress.org is a free site-engine software, while WordPress.com is a web hosting company. You can find more information about the differences between WordPress.org and WordPress.com here: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
You can also find further support by posting to the WordPress.org support channel, available from here: wordpress.org/support/forums/

I apologize for any confusion. I just listed the michellepaisleyreed.com website as a reference. I thought that my post would include the wordpress site to which I was referring, which is: https://michellelynpaisley.wordpress.com/
Thanks for any help.

I see – thank you for explaining the situation. You could try logging in with the username of ‘michellelynpaisley’ (without the apostrophes) or you can also request a lost password email for this username from here: https:// wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword (see if it arrives to any of your known email addresses in case you forgot which address was it registered with)

I see that without access to the original email, I’m pretty much out of luck. Trying to recover it…. Thank you again.

You could try logging in with the username of michellelynpaisley and see if you can guess your old password, alternatively you can try sending a lost password email for this username as well and see if that arrives to any of your known email addresses from here: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
