Account recovery

  The employee that looked after the wordpress account and the website is no longer an employee. I am unable to provide proof of ownership as requested in the Account Recovery. How can I recover this account?

  Hi there:

  Thanks for reaching out. Since this site has paid upgrades, you would need to prove ownership as outlined on our account recovery page:

  https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/

  If your organization paid for the upgrades, you should have transaction IDs from prior charges that you can use to prove ownership of the site. You can find that form here:

  https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

  Just fill out as much information as you have, including an email address where Support can get in touch. The transaction ID will be on your bank statement as WordPress followed by a letter/number code. They’ll look like this:

  WordPress XXXXXXXXXX

  Otherwise, you would need to reach out to the prior employee to get the login information for the account so you can take over the management of those paid upgrades.
